๐น๐น Vaccines for Trinidad and Tobago
Entry requirements & recommendations for travel to Trinidad and Tobago
Trinidad and Tobago requires no specific travel vaccines and is a relatively developed Caribbean destination with a more industrial economy (oil and gas) than the tourism-dependent model of many neighbouring islands, which translates into reasonably good healthcare infrastructure on Trinidad. Hepatitis A and Typhoid are recommended given variable food and water hygiene outside main areas. There's a limited malaria risk on Trinidad (not Tobago), relevant mainly for rural forested areas. Dengue is endemic. Yellow Fever vaccination is recommended if travelling onwards to Venezuela, which lies close by. Tobago is more tourism-focused with a quieter, beach-oriented scene compared to Trinidad's Port of Spain.
