🇦🇱 Vaccines for Albania
Entry requirements & recommendations for travel to Albania
Albania requires no specific travel vaccines and has been an increasingly popular emerging destination, particularly for its Adriatic and Ionian coastline around Saranda and the Riviera, alongside the capital Tirana. Hepatitis A is recommended given more variable food and water hygiene standards than in EU countries (Albania is an EU candidate but not yet a member). There's no malaria risk. Tick-borne encephalitis exists at low levels in forested rural areas, relevant mainly for hikers in the mountainous interior. Healthcare in Tirana and along the developed coastal areas is reasonable for tourist needs; more remote mountain areas have limited facilities.
No vaccines required for entry to this destination.
